Rock pool

Touch the water. The light on it is yours.

Clear seawater over a pebble bed, enclosed by eroded coastal rock shelves.

The pool is one photograph. A shader bends the pixels under the surface with a small swell plus every ripple you have made in the last few seconds, and a traced shoreline keeps the dry rock still. The same solar clock that tints this site grades the picture: golden at dawn and dusk, moonlit at night.
